How To Find The TimeTo DO WHAT YOU WANT To Do

January 9th, 2008 (11:16 am)

"I'm so busy! I feel like I'm running in circles! Where does the time go?"

One of the most common New Years Resolutions is to find more time to do the things you really WANT to do.  Is it really possible to make more money and find more time? YES!!!  The answer lies within two letters.  The letter "H" and the letter "V":

NEED / WANT               NEED / WANT

 H          V

Imagine that the things you NEED to do are one side of the letter "H" and the things you WANT to do are the other side.  We spend so much our time focusing on what we need to do all day long (like at work, for example) then we run the bridge to get to the other side of our lives.

When we get to the other side (for example, at home) we go, go, go in order to get all our home tasks completed.  Then we cross back over the bridge to work and do it all over again, leaving us with no energy for either of the two sides.

Now, envision your needs and wants blending together without a bridge to cross.  This looks like the letter "V."  Here we can blend our needs and wants so that we can give our all at both.

Once you find that balance between needs and wants (or work and home, for example) then the two can work together instead of against each other.  Life will become more fluid and balanced which will result in more productivity (at work) and more quality personal time (at home).

"I have a saying that I live by: “Quality at work; Quantity at home.”  I am a speaker, author, business leader and an entrepreneur, but first and foremost, I am a mother and a wife," says Donna Krech, Founder and CEO of Thin & Healthy’s Total Solution after 30 years of living with the "V" system.

The TOP 6 Ways to Stay Motivated

January 7th, 2008 (02:11 pm)

1. Get Motivated Every Day. Zig Ziglar was once confronted about being a "motivational speaker." The guy said to him, "You guys come and get people hyped up and then you leave and the motivation goes away. It doesn't last, and then you have to get motivated again." Zig reminded the gentleman that baths are the same way, but we think it is a good idea to take a bath every day!

It is true that motivation doesn't last. We have to renew it each and every day. That's okay. It doesn't make motivation a bad thing. We simply have to realize that if we want to stay motivated over the long term, it is something we will have to apply ourselves to each and every day.

2. Have a Vision for Your Life. The root word of motivation is "motive." The definition of motive is, "A reason to act." This is the cognitive or rational side of motivation. It is your vision. You have to have a vision that is big enough to motivate you. If you are making $50,000 a year, it isn't going to motivate you to set your goal at $52,000 a year. You just won't get motivated for that because the reward isn't enough. Maybe $70,000 a year would work for you. Set out a vision and a strategy for getting there. Have a plan and work the plan.

3. Fuel Your Passion. Much of motivation is emotional. I don't know quite how it works but I do know that it works. Emotion is a powerful force in getting us going. Passion is an emotion, so fuel your passion. "Well, I like to work on logic," you may say. Great, now work on your passion. Set yourself on a course to have a consuming desire for your goal, whatever it is. Do whatever you can to feel the emotion and use it to your advantage!

4. Work Hard Enough to Get Good Results. You can build on your motivation by getting results. The harder you work, the more results you will get and the more results you get, the more you will be motivated to get more. These things all build on one another. If you want to lose weight, then lose the first few pounds. When the belt moves to the next notch you will get fired up to get it to the notch beyond that!

5. Put Good Materials Into Your Mind. We call this BYOB- Bombard Your Own Brain. I can't say this enough - listen to tapes. I still listen to and buy tapes regularly from other speakers so that I continue to learn and grow. Their successes motivate me to attain my own successes! Read good books. Read books that teach you new ideas and skills. Read books that tell the stories of successful people. Buy them, read them and get motivated! Buy great music and listen to it. When participating in an exercise class a good song will actually motivate you to move faster! Music gets you going and motivates you!

6. Ride the Momentum When It Comes. Sometimes you will just be clicking and sometimes you won't. That is okay. It is the cycle of life. When you aren't clicking, plug away. When you are clicking, pour it on because momentum will help you get larger gains in a shorter period of time with less energy. That is the Momentum Equation! When you are feeling good about how your work is going, ride the momentum and get as much out of it as you can!

These are simple principles, that when you put them to work regularly, will change your life by keeping you motivated all the time! Get going!

Resolution Revolution

January 3rd, 2008 (02:07 pm)
current mood: determined

Lose the Pounds, Make the Dollars and Find the Time!

YOU CAN ATTAIN THE GOAL YOU SET THIS YEAR!!
Pounds, dollars and minutes are on the minds of most of us this time of year.  No matter what you are trying to lose or gain, here's how to make 2008 your last year for New Year's Resolutions.

Ninety two percent of all resolutions are broken because we set short term goals, don't put action steps in place to follow through or don't find out the real reason we want to achieve that goal.  That real reason is what keeps the 8% of resolution achievers going every year!  When you find that one thing that means the most to you, you will never have to make another resolution again.

WHERE TO BEGIN:

1.  Find your own, personal motivation - Losing 20 pounds before vacation is a great goal but it's short term.  Once vacation comes and goes, the weight creeps right back on.  The reason is there was a lack of a truly meaningful, personal motivator, or Powerful Why®.  Your Powerful Why® is the one thing that will help you reach and keep your goals, for life...any goal of any kind, every single goal.

For many it is self worth, "I want to feel truly good about myself, about my life." but that  reason is rarely delved into and the motivation that comes with it is never captured.  You see when we build self worth, all parts of the person and the person's life grow, not just a weight loss goal attained.  And because all parts of the person's life are getting better, the character traits that come with such growth allow the weight to seem to just 'fall off'.

Example- Stress, anxiety, depression and other negative emotions can cause us to run for comfort foods or sit, vegetating on the couch.  The source of these negative emotions is the place we need to start. Because feeling these things is due to low self worth.  Let's say the source is a situation at work or in a relationship that hasn't gone the way you hoped.  Learning how to handle the situation brings about the result you want and the negative situation never arises in the first place.  You see the bottom line is this.  When we feel great about ourselves, when our self worth and esteem are high we have much less tendency to experience these negative emotions.  Thus we don't have the reactions.   A big part of building self worth is personal development and that always results in a better you, a better outlook and a more powerful reason for wanting to achieve all goals set.

Funny...no one talks about building self worth in the weight loss industry except us.  They all talk about how it will grow once you lose the weight.  We have proven in multiple lives that when growing self worth is the focus, weight comes off naturally.  I know, I lived it.  I realized how sad I was and made a couple of changes to be in situations where I was supported and I felt happier and more loved.  I went form a size 12 to a 10.  I got a job in customer service and began meeting the customer's needs.  I dropped to an 8.  I found a place in life where my talents could really be used and I became a 6.  I discovered the joy of teaching what I knew to others and became a size 4.  I wanted to feel more alive and became a size 2.  No where in that example did I mention food.  Because it was all about growing as a person, I not only lost weight effortlessly... I built a phenomenal career, raised a healthy, happy family and have a spectacular level of hope and peace in my life!

The reality is that most people don't believe they can meet their goals because they have tried every avenue that's out there only to hit dead end after dead end.  Belief is the most powerful personal motivator.  Ask yourself a very important question.  "Do I truly believe I will make the money I want to make, lose the weight I want to lose, find the time I want to find this year for the things in life that matter to me?  Do I TRULY; REALLY believe it's going to happen.  I didn't truly believe I was going to accomplish all I'd hoped to accomplish in my career so consequently that limiting belief stopped my progress dead in its tracks.  Learning how to first identify the beliefs that were actually not true at all, that were holding me back, unleashed a power inside of me like nothing I'd ever known.  Then learning how to build positive, result-producing belief came next.  With this step I was unstoppable!!  Belief is truly the most powerful word, yet not addressed much at all when systems are provided with building wealth, starting a business, losing weight, or making memories with family and friends.  Your Powerful Why will help you become independent and continue to stay motivated permanently.  It's that simple.  So...Do you want to achieve the goal for a short while, or do you want to continue to enjoy the benefits of the goal forever?  If long-term results are what you want, I suggest finding your Powerful Why.

2.  Find an expert - Identifying your own, personal motivation is not always an easy task and you may need a little help from someone who knows how to pull it out of you.  This is where an expert will change your life.  I am both humbled and thrilled to tell you that I am such an expert.  Referred to by many as the Motivation Maven, it has been my honor to help millions of people lose millions of pounds, make millions of dollars and find hours of extra time to do the things in life that matter to them.  And I've been doing so under the radar for years, meaning inside my own company.  I've founded multiple successful companies that specialize in motivation for business, bodies and life.  And today I want to offer to introduce you to your own personal motivation.  We've decided to offer my acclaimed Never Ending Motivation program to you for free.  That's right, free.  It's available to you for a free trial for the next 21-days at www.neverendingmotivation.com.  I'm not crazy... I'm simply convinced it's the solution to achieving every single goal set and am willing to take 100% of the risk to prove that to you.

With the help and encouragement of this amazing tool, you will be able to make a plan and follow through on your goals.  2008 will be the year you make those dollars, find those minutes and lose those pounds.

Don't Make Another Resolution!

Will you achieve more in the next 12 months than you have in the last 12 years?

Are you motivated right now because it’s the end of the year and you’re getting ready to make those oh-so-common “resolutions”?

You don’t have to “resolve” to get where you want to go in 2008. We’ve got the resolution solution!

Let's talk about 'resolutions'; we all make them and we all break them. We don't keep our resolutions because something comes against us--the Motivation Assassinators. You can ignite, achieve and maintain never-ending motivation by overcoming the 7 Motivation Assassinators, FBHEEST:

So take a few minutes, read the descriptions below, see which assassinators come against you and then click on the link that will change your life forever by helping you to never need to make another resolution again.

F = Focus, or lack of focus.
We set a goal, build a dream, even create a plan. Then 3 days later, we're no longer thinking about it. YIKES!! The lack of focus has attacked and we don't even realize it! Here's the fantastic news.

* When we make up our minds to think on what we want each day, several times a day
* When we review our goal sheet at least weekly
* When we focus on what we need to be doing and when we need to be doing it

...we can actually keep all the other Assassinators from attacking at all!

B = Belief, or a negative belief system.

Do you think things like:
'I can't do this,'
'This is too hard,'
'I just wasn't created for this,'
'My family isn't this way,'
'I'm not smart enough, strong enough, or good enough'?

These all come from a belief system. Past experiences tell us these things, but they're LIES! This Assassinator is the biggest liar of them all! When this guy shows up, simply identifying him starts the process of defeating him. When these thoughts show up, identify them as the Motivation Stealers that they aren't and don't let them do their dirty little deed of taking your motivation away!! You deserve to achieve your goal and your negative beliefs can be turned positive. You can KNOW your goals are as good as achieved!

H = Habits. This one is the sneakiest.
We don't even realize we're:
* Spending, because we do it all the time,
* Eating the chips, because it's what we do all the time
* Arguing, because it's what we do all the time.

Maybe it's laziness or doubt that's your nasty, motivation-killing habit. In any case, it can be changed. Detrimental habits don't need to be removed; they need to be replaced with healthy habits.

E = Emotional Reaction. This one is the most common of all. Do you find yourself becoming seriously angry or tearful when something happens to wreck your plan? Are there times it may not be the best reaction, but you do it anyway? Do you ever run for comfort foods or a comfort position like in front of the TV or computer? Ah hah!! The Emotional Reaction guy has struck!! Take him out by deciding to respond instead!

E = Energy.  Which Energy Drainers Are Most Common for You? The number one culprit, if you’re feeling zapped of energy, is most likely stress.  The other common energy drainers include:
*Excess weight
--Everything in your body has to work harder because of the extra weight and that’s an energy drain.
*Indecision, which could be worry or anxiety, or just indecisiveness about something can drain our energy as well.  It takes extra energy to think constantly about an unresolved issue.
*Lack of sleep depletes our internal battery so you never feel fully charged.
The next one is excessive sugar or high-sugar carbohydrates in your diet.
*Over use of Caffeine
*Low protein in your diet
*Improper organ function
*Intestinal problems

S = Surroundings / Social Influence. This affects the others most easily. Your Fist Factor determines so much! Do you behave in certain ways because people around you expect you to? Nonsense! This Motivation assassinator is the easiest one to transform!! It takes 6 positive relationships in order to maintain you being a healthy, balanced person. Do you have them?

T = Time Management...This is the biggest culprit of the 21st century! You may:
* Over-promise
* Try to fit too much into one day
* Always feel behind
* Be too busy
* Procrastinate
All of these are Time-Management issues.

Now don't despair! Right now you can click here to learn more about the RESOLUTION SOLUTION! Don’t wait another second! 2007 is coming to a close and 2008 can be amazing if you can tap into your own Never Ending Motivation.

One Solitary Life

December 18th, 2007 (04:06 pm)
jubilant

current mood: jubilant

One of the most important areas of health is spiritual health. It is through spirituality that humans find our purpose and meaning. Spirituality is expressed through faith. Mine is Christianity. The following article reflects my faith and is my favorite Christmas composition. After that, there’s a word on Christmas from our buddy Zig Ziglar and myself.

One Solitary Life

He was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman. He grew up in still another village where He worked in a carpenter's shop until He was thirty. Then for three years He traveled and preached. He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family or owned a house. He did not go to college. He never visited a big city. He never traveled more than two hundred miles from the place where He was born. He did none of the things man usually associates with greatness. He had no credentials but Himself.

He was only thirty-three when the tide of public opinion turned against Him. His friends ran away. He was turned over to His enemies and went through the mockery of a trial. He was nailed to a stake between two thieves. While He was dying, His executioners gambled for the only property He had on earth, his coat.

When He was dead, He was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend. Two Thousand years have come and gone and today He remains the central figure of the human race and the leader of mankind's progress.

All the armies that ever marched, all the fleets that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of men on this planet so much as that One Solitary Life. ~Dr. James Allen Francis, originally published 1928

Greetings from Zig’s Newsletter. Most of you will be reading this a few days before December 25, the day celebrated by Christians as Christ's birthday.

Thanks to an elderly black lady who spent the July 4, 1972, weekend in our home, I committed my life to Christ and every facet of my life was radically changed for the better. I became a "new creature" and quickly learned that God's possibles are infinitely greater than man's permissibles. As I studied Biblical principles and started teaching them, my career exploded. When I accepted Christ as my Lord, I received my "BA"-- that's "Born Again." As a born again Christian I became a joint heir with Christ to the Kingdom of God and truly fell in love with my wife of over 28 years. Loving her through Christ really taught me what love was all about.

As a born again Christian I wanted to share my faith with others and make decisions that reflected that faith. In that process I received my second degree, the "DD"-that's "Disturbing the Devil." Yes, Satan is the devil, and he is the author of lies. When people see the joy in my life (and it's more evident all the time), Satan doesn't like that, and when I call him a liar and tell people about the Bible, that, too, disturbs the devil. When I am privileged to bring someone to a saving knowledge of Christ, that disturbs him even more.

As I continued in my Christian walk I received my "Ph.D.," which means that I am "Past Having Doubt." Our pastor teaches that when we believe God can do it, that's little faith. When we believe that God will do it, that's big faith. When we believe it's a done deal, that is perfect faith.

In this Christmas season we hear people using the term "happy holidays." Needless to say, when Muslims are celebrating Ramadan, nobody says to them, "Happy Holiday," and when my Jewish friends are celebrating Yom Kippur, nobody says to them, "Happy Holiday." However, at Christmas, when we celebrate the birth of Christ (without which there would be NO Christmas), more and more people are sending "Happy Holiday" cards. When I'm greeted with "Happy Holidays!” I smile (and I encourage you to do the same thing), thank them, and then say, "I'll go you one better. I'll wish you a Merry Christmas, since this is the celebration of the birth that had the most impact of any birth since the history of mankind." When the Babe in Bethlehem was born it was announced that He was the Savior of the world. When He made the supreme sacrifice on the cross, He simply said, "It is finished," because when He arose three days later He had triumphed over the grave.

Christianity is not a "religion." It is a relationship with Christ as Lord. All "religions" require that you work your way to Heaven with your good deeds. In Christianity, we believe our way into Heaven. The Bible clearly says that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from death, we will be saved.

Christmas is extraordinarily special to me and all born again believers.

Merry Christmas to all! ~Zig Ziglar

My prayer is that you’ll invite the Prince of Peace to live in your heart this season. Merry Christmas Thin&Healthy’s Total Solution friends and family. You are one of the most amazing gifts in my life.

~Donna Krech
